На GDC 2008 на конференции Microsoft официально подтвердила Gears of War 2.

Вот строчки из официального пресс-релиза:
"Gears of War 2 From Epic Games. November 2008. Sequel to the 1st-selling (4.5M copies) Gears of War. Follows the story of Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad (Squad Delta?). 3rd person. Xbox 360 exclusive."
